We route cables behind the wall where possible (through the cavity in stud walls) or use surface-mounted cable channels that match the wall colour for a clean look. Mounting a TV on plasterboard requires finding the timber studs behind the board and fixing into those. If the studs do not line up with where you want the TV, we fit a timber batten or reinforcing board behind the plasterboard to spread the load safely. We never simply fix heavy brackets into plasterboard alone, because it will pull out.
