Fence Panel Installation in Lancing

We supply and fit all standard domestic fence panel types: lap panels (the most common and affordable), closeboard panels (stronger and better at resisting wind), hit-and-miss panels (which allow airflow and look the same on both sides), and decorative lattice-top panels. Standard sizes are 6ft x 6ft and 6ft x 5ft, but we source other sizes where needed.

If one or two panels have blown out or rotted through but the posts are still solid, there is no need to replace the entire fence. We remove the damaged panels, check the gravel boards and post condition, and fit new panels that match the rest of the run as closely as possible. Older panels may have been discontinued, so an exact match is not always possible, but we get as close as we can and advise if a full replacement makes more sense.

Every time we replace a panel, we check the posts it sits between and the gravel board underneath. Rotten posts and crumbling gravel boards are the most common reasons panels fail in the first place. If they need replacing, we flag it and can do both at the same time.

Coastal properties in Lancing, Shoreham, Worthing, and along the seafront take more wind than inland areas. We use sturdier fixings, deeper post settings, and can recommend closeboard over lap panels where wind exposure is a concern. Hit-and-miss panels are another good option because they let wind pass through rather than catching it like a sail.

Gravel boards sit at the base of the fence between the ground and the bottom panel. They take the worst of the ground moisture, protecting the fence panels above from rot. When a gravel board fails, the panel above starts absorbing moisture from the soil and deteriorates quickly. We replace gravel boards in concrete or timber and can swap them out individually without disturbing the rest of the fence.
